Okay, wanna know what my giveaway is?
It's pretty different.
It's not art.
It's not related to anything Ethiopia.
It's something completely different...
It's an opportunity to
LEARN
about discipleship, about missions, about the heart of God.
I am taking this class right now and it has been one of the most amazing opportunities I've ever had to grow spiritually. Seriously lifechanging. I would love nothing more than to offer one of you this same opportunity.
If you're not familiar with Perspectives, that's okay, just click HERE to learn more. You can take the class three different ways. You can audit the class, take it for a certificate, or take it for college credit. So no matter what your time allowance is, there's an option that fits your schedule.
One of the reasons I waited so long to take this class is because I thought it was expensive. (it is expensive!) But it's worth it. To audit or take at the certificate level is $250.00. I'm so thankful for what I've learned through this class, I want to give someone the opportunity to go for FREE!
(here's a tidbit from the website)
Why PerspectivesPerspectives helps believers from all walks of life see how they can get threaded into God’s story of redeeming people from every tribe, tongue, and nation to Himself. From Genesis to the prophets, Jesus Christ to the early church, and Constantine to today, you will see how God has been moving, how the global Church has responded, and what the greatest needs in world evangelization remain today. It isn’t a class about missions, but a course on how every believer can be intimately woven into the story of God using His people to be a blessing to all the peoples of the earth.
Early last fall I noticed a flyer in our church bulletin about a local Perspective's class that would soon be starting at a neighboring church. It was something I had always wanted to do, so I stuck it in the front of my Bible and promised myself that I would look at it agian more seriously later. Well, later turned into weeks and I suddenly realized that I was two weeks away from the start of class. I hadn't registered or even looked at the website to learn more. The class started the week we were moving and I told myself, 'this is foolish. Who starts a class right when you move?' But, my husband and I both knew that this was the right time for me to take this class, even if it seemed a little 'inconvenient.' So I signed up and began this journey that has truly transformed me.
Have you ever walked away from a retreat or conference and thought, 'That was Amazing! Why haven't I ever heard this before?' That's how I feel every Tuesday night. This is an interdenominational class and every week there is a new teacher, and the teachers are amazing-they come from all different walks of life and come from all over the world to teach this material. Every week I feel humbled and challenged and excited and blessed.
My trust in God has grown over the past semester-I don't battle fear like I used to. I feel bold. I feel more focused. I feel confident in who God is, and I feel that I've come to know Him in a much deeper way. This class has challenged me in ways no other Bible study has, and I'm overwhelmingly thankful for it.
I'm not done yet, I have about three weeks more to go. But I couldn't think of a better giveaway to offer than a Perspectives class.

So how does it work?
Look at the website, familiarize yourself with the class.
(Classes are held in different cities at different times and days of the week.)
Pray about it.
If you're interested in taking the class go here to find the nearest location.
How do you enter?
There are three ways.
1. Leave me a comment telling me what class you would go to if you win (i.e. houston/memorial area) It has to be a location found on the Perspectives website.
2. Post this giveaway on FaceBook (and leave a separate comment telling me you did so)
3. Blog about the giveaway (and leave a separate comment telling me you did so)
This giveaway will run for two weeks, starting November 21, 2011. I will choose one random winner on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011. Only one winner will be chosen. This giveaway is for a $250 credit towards a Perspectives class (audit or certificate level). If the winner desires to take the class for credit ($500.00), the winner will be responsible for paying the remaining balance. The winner will complete registration on line, and I will call the class facilitator to complete payment.
Thank you so much for reading this long post! ; ) If you have questions, just email me at thecanvasheart@gmail.com. I hope all of you will consider taking this class, even if you don't get it for free. It's worth every penny and every hour!
Blessings to all!
